Hot take: the Idaho State Museum is one of the most underrated spots in Boise.

It’s 80,000 square feet of Idaho history, artifacts, and immersive exhibits that cover everything from the state’s five federally recognized tribes to the Big Burn of 1910 to a virtual bike ride through historic Pocatello. There’s also a two-headed calf. And a hands-on exhibit about the community festivals defining America’s 250th year. And it’s beautifully air conditioned.

The Idaho State Museum is a perfect summer afternoon for any age. Admission starts at $5 and kids 5 and under are free!

Christmas in July at Corpus Commons 🎄

Tonight Corpus Commons held a Christmas party, but this event was about more than festive drinks and gingerbread decorating. Corpus Commons is Boise’s only daytime shelter, and over 200 of our most vulnerable neighbors walk through their doors every single day. They provide meals, showers, laundry, mailing services, employment assistance, public bathrooms, and a place to belong for our vulnerable neighbors. Christmas in July exists to remind us that people experiencing homelessness need support 365 days a year.

At the event they also launched **Friends of Corpus**, a monthly giving community starting at just $10/month. It’s the most practical way to show up for your neighbors year-round. Join 40+ Boiseans who are already in and become a Friend of Corpus.
