As we head into the 2026 SOVAS Voice Arts Awards week, with the gala to be held on Sunday, 1/18, I’ve found myself doing a lot of reflecting.

Not just on the nominations themselves, but on everything that led here.

The auditions that did not land.
The reads that missed the mark.
The sessions that stretched me.
The late nights. The quiet doubts. The small wins that slowly added up.

And most of all, the people.

The coaches who sharpened my instincts.
The agents who believed before the results showed up.
The clients who trusted me with their stories.
The peers who encouraged me when progress felt slow.

For me, being nominated three times this year already feels like the win.

Recognition like this is never just about one moment or one project. It is built on years of effort, mistakes, learning, persistence, and community.

Taking home an award would be an incredible honor.
But standing here as a nominee, knowing the road it took to get here, that is something I will always carry with gratitude.

To everyone heading into this weekend as a nominee, congratulations!
To everyone still building toward their moment, keep going. The work matters more than any single outcome.

Grateful for the journey. Grateful for the people. Grateful for the chance to do what I love. 🎙️✨

This is truly beyond anything I ever imagined. I’m deeply grateful to the judges, and to and for everything they do to support and elevate our industry. Also, congrats to all of the other nominees!

I really enjoy voicing these theater/Broadway-style spots. I get requests for these pretty often, so I have a lot of them out there with my voice. Whether for the ETSU Center for the Arts, actual Broadway venues, or the ones such as the one shown here, for the Tuacahn Amphitheater...I do like going a bit bigger and "announcer-y" for these!
