My mental health and my identity are inextricably intertwined. I am not fully mentally healthy when I’m unable to accept myself as the boss b*tch that I am 😋Okay, but on a serious note, I came out last year on the last day of June. It was an…interesting experience. I didn’t get the reaction I necessarily hoped for, but this week, someone reminded me why I made this announcement public. It’s because in acknowledging who I was, they felt a little more sure of who they were. I don’t do any of this for glory. I started sharing about my mental health because representation matters. I am now attempting to do the same with my identity. So that’s why I created the “We See You” Pride Box. I wanted to highlight how special the LGBTQIA+ community is. The preorder is now live and it ends this Friday! Preorder all your self-care goodies for this June. All preorders come with a bonus gift 🥰🌈✨🌱 Link in bio my peeps!
There aren’t words for the world right now. There aren’t words to ease the pain and worry. So I won’t try to make it okay. But I will say I’m here. My inbox is open and my heart is open if you need someone to lean on. I’m over here spending time releasing tension and trauma in my body during this time. Please do the same if need be. Your health is critical right now. Self-care is a radical act in our society, and I’m here to help lead the rebellion. I love you. Please be kind to yourself and patient with yourself during this time. Reminder: this life is not a sprint. We are in it for the long haul 🤍🌱

Have you ever felt like your mental illness was really difficult to explain to those in your life whom you love with all your heart? Well that’s exactly where I was when I tried to explain to my friends what happens when my depression comes on. They wanted a peek into my brain so I tried to give it to them. Check out my new blog post: Episode 11, The One With The Rock Gym and Depression. To anyone who loves someone with depression and wants to understand, or to anyone with depression who wants to explain what it can feel like to those in your life, I hope this helps you 💙
