2025 Year in Review of Happenings/ events/ ideas/ works that were incredible moments not to be forgotten: Pandora the incredibly unexpected production at the National Theater of Greece .n.theatre by the uber talented director inclusive of the performers and with a production team's minimal set yet transcending effect...the audience easily transported to another world..at least i did to this world of myth - and what myth ? Perhaps one of the most misogynistic of tales- yet with intent to take us past this aspect to one that offers hope for our fragile humanity. 👏

I noticed the catalog of Peggy Kliafa "Healing The Grid" at Zoumboulakis Galleries Booth R1 Art Athena and was happy to have had the chance to visit the gallery and speak with the artist just a few days before. It's a heady show with lots of formalism particularly with the inextricable appeal of organized grids. Beyond the meticulously constructed objects, and the homage to a minimal familiar aesthetic there's the messy conundrum of dealing with its source material - that is aside of illumination- all the work is made with pharmaceutical pill units.

In paraphrasing from the catalog of the exhibition, Dr. Sozita Goudouna writes about Kliafa's work, "..to the clinical precision of pharmaceutical packaging, the grid imposes an illusion of order upon the chaos of life. Yet, beneath its rational veneer lies a paradox --it both sustains and suffocated, heals, and controls."

in Kolonaki [ just a few minutes walk from Zappeion] to see the artist's solo show "Healing The Grid".
