Last week, NeighborHealth was proud to celebrate the opening of the new EASTIE Coalition youth space at the YMCA, a meaningful new place for young people to connect, grow, and lead.

Through leadership development and cultural connection, the EASTIE Coalition helps young people build community and support substance use prevention. When young people are empowered to create positive change for themselves and their community, the results are magical.

Thank you to the East Boston YMCA and the Coalition team, especially Nancy Slamet, for your leadership in making this space possible.

During their visit, students learned about careers and internships, heard from our team, and toured departments like the Emergency Department and Adult Medicine to see our work in action.
