Junior & Senior Portrait Exhibition at BINCA 📸✨
Students at BINCA came together to showcase their Inside Out posters, each grade exploring a different theme through portraits and storytelling.
Seniors used their portraits to reflect on where they hope to go in the future, while Juniors decorated theirs with the traits that have shaped who they are through both nature and nurture. The exhibition gave students the opportunity to view one another's work, learn the stories behind the images, and celebrate their shared experiences.
A special thank you to BINCA, Inside Out , Toni, Our ILA Facilitators Alondra, Marie, Bendu, Alejandra and everyone who helped bring this exhibition to life. ❤️
El Patio Episode #4🎙️🏙️
In part two of our conversation with Richard “Richie” Feliz, Richie gives us a tour of what he calls his “Bat Cave”, the place where he kept many of his belongings while living unhoused. As he walks us through the space, every object carries a story, a memory, or a purpose.
One thing about Richie, no matter what he was going through, he was always going to be the best dressed in Egleston. Suits pressed, shoes clean, changing outfits three times a day. What stands out most about Richie is that no matter what he was going through, he never ran out of things to give. Many of the items around him were not just for himself, but things he shares with and gives back to the community whenever someone needs it.
This episode is a powerful reminder of resilience, dignity, community.
Thank you Richie for trusting us with your story and for continuing to bring light, laughter, and style to Egleston.🤍
Shout out to our production and editing team, Karim and Alejandra 🎥✨
