SCP-DDDD - “The Warborn Colossus”
Object Class: Keter
[research note] the use of letters is no longer effective [Redacted]

Special Containment Procedures
SCP-DDDD is currently uncontained and classified as a Mobile Hostile Anomaly. Following Incident DDDD-01, all military conflicts exceeding casualty thresholds of ██,000 must be monitored for signs of SCP-DDDD’s emergence.

RAVEN OVERRIDE DIRECTIVE grants the Foundation full authority over military operations in affected regions. Diplomatic pressure and cover stories will be employed to cease combat under the guise of ceasefire negotiations or catastrophic natural disasters.

Containment requires deployment of [REDACTED], including operatives from [BLACK RAVEN], with Lars Eriksson (Codename: “Ragnar”) leading direct engagement operations. Battlefield protocol IRON VALKYRIE is authorized when SCP-DDDD enters an active conflict zone, utilizing anomalous weaponry and seidr-based tactics to neutralize the entity.

After containment attempts, affected areas must be sanitized under Protocol ASHEN EARTH, eradicating all evidence of SCP-DDDD’s manifestations.

Description
SCP-DDDD is an amalgamation of corpses from combat zones, fusing into a massive, humanoid entity approximately ██ meters tall. Its form consists of countless mutilated bodies, weapons, and remnants of war machinery. It moves with terrifying speed and precision, despite its grotesque composition.

The entity’s physical appearance shifts constantly, with severed limbs, broken skulls, and jagged pieces of armor emerging and receding as it moves. Its torso often bears the warped faces of the dead, screaming in silence. The sound of SCP-DDDD’s movement is accompanied by the groaning of bending metal and the wet, sickening squelch of flesh.

SCP-DDDD exhibits extreme hostility toward all living beings in its vicinity, indiscriminately attacking combatants from all sides of a conflict. Survivors describe its approach as heralded by an overwhelming stench of decay and the chilling sound of whispered prayers and dying screams emanating from within its body.

Behavior and Anomalous Properties
Field of Desolation:
SCP-DDDD generates an anomalous effect in a 1-kilometer radius, known as the Field of Desolation. Within this area:

Corpses reanimate briefly, dragging themselves toward SCP-DDDD before merging into its mass.
Any living combatants experience rapid-onset necrosis in exposed skin and extreme hallucinations of their own violent deaths.
Survivors report hearing phantom gunfire and explosions, even when none are present, and the sensation of unseen hands pulling them toward SCP-DDDD.
Adaptive Warfare:
SCP-DDDD demonstrates an unsettling ability to adapt its combat techniques based on the weaponry and tactics of nearby forces. It can manifest weapons from its body, including bladed limbs, makeshift cannons formed from artillery remains, and even use the corpses within it as projectile weapons.

Carnage Sustenance:
SCP-DDDD grows larger and more powerful the longer it remains within a battlefield. As it absorbs the bodies of the fallen, its strength and speed increase exponentially. In prolonged engagements, SCP-DDDD’s form may split into smaller, equally hostile entities, each maintaining the same destructive properties as the original.

Incident DDDD-01: The [REDACTED] War
Location: █████████ Border, Central Europe

Summary: SCP-DDDD first manifested following an extended conflict between ██████████ and ████████, resulting in over █,000 deaths in a single engagement. Both sides reported the sudden appearance of a “walking mass of the dead,” which began annihilating forces indiscriminately. SCP-DDDD obliterated ██% of both armies within 6 hours before Foundation intervention was authorized.

Field Report Excerpt - Lars Eriksson (“Ragnar”):
“By the time we got there, the battlefield wasn’t just lost—it was gone. Trenches filled with corpses, their eyes all turned to this… thing. The ground itself was churning with bodies. I could hear it before I saw it. Every footstep sounded like a bomb going off, and the air… the air was screaming. This wasn’t war anymore. It was something worse.”

Engagement:
Lars Eriksson led a specialized containment team under [BLACK RAVEN]. Using SCP-BBBB (The Midnight Blade), Lars engaged SCP-DDDD directly, severing several key structural limbs. His seidr chants disrupted SCP-DDDD’s adaptive properties long enough for the team to drive it back temporarily. However, SCP-DDDD escaped into nearby ruins, merging into the earth.

Aftermath:
Both governments involved were forced to capitulate under Foundation oversight. The official cover story involved a chemical weapon disaster. All survivors were administered Class-A amnestics. ███ Foundation personnel were lost during containment efforts.

Additional Notes and BLACK RAVEN Connections
Ritualistic Elements:
Analysis of SCP-DDDD’s behavior reveals recurring patterns resembling Norse funeral rites, particularly those honoring warriors lost in battle. Symbols linked to SCP-AAAA (The Yggdrasil Anomaly) were found scorched into the earth around SCP-DDDD’s appearance site. This suggests SCP-DDDD is not merely a byproduct of war but an integral part of an ancient, apocalyptic system.

Clues in the Carnage:
In several instances, SCP-DDDD’s body has displayed carvings similar to those found in SCP-CCCC (The Nevermore Raven), further tying it to broader anomalous events. These carvings include depictions of a figure known as The World-Eater, linking SCP-DDDD to SCP- # # ’s Valhalla Rising melody.

Field Memo - Dr. ███████:
“This isn’t just a monster. It’s a mirror. It shows us what we are: a species that thrives on violence, whose dead won’t rest because the living can’t stop killing. But SCP-DDDD isn’t acting on its own. Someone—or something—is pulling the strings, and it’s using these conflicts to prepare for something far worse.”

Closing Observation
“War births horrors beyond comprehension, but this one? It’s a harbinger. The dead are rising not just to haunt the living but to pave the way for what comes next.”
— Commander █████, BLACK RAVEN Unit --

SCP-CCCC - “The Nevermore Raven”
Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-CCCC is to be kept in a high-security containment aviary at Site-███, outfitted with triple-layered electromagnetically shielded glass and acoustic-nullifying materials. No personnel are to enter SCP-CCCC’s chamber without written authorization from the Site Director and a minimum of two Level-5 personnel. Any communication attempts with SCP-CCCC are strictly forbidden.

Individuals exposed to SCP-CCCC’s vocalizations (designated SCP-CCCC-1) must be immediately restrained, sedated, and transferred to the Eibon Quarantine Wing. Any rituals or anomalous behaviors initiated by SCP-CCCC-1 instances must be terminated with extreme prejudice. Containment teams deployed for SCP-CCCC-related incidents must be equipped with Class-8 Memetic Hazard Visors and N-Aural Dampeners.

Following any breaches or ritual activity, Protocol EBONY FLESH is to be enacted to ensure total erasure of all ritual traces and witnesses.

Description: SCP-CCCC - “The Nevermore Raven”
SCP-CCCC is a jet-black raven approximately 70 cm in length with glossy feathers that seem to absorb light rather than reflect it. Its eyes are unnervingly human, featuring a pale, milky hue. SCP-CCCC emits a distinct croaking vocalization resembling fragmented phrases in Old Norse and Middle English, interspersed with guttural growls and clicking sounds.

Upon hearing SCP-CCCC’s vocalization, certain individuals enter a trance-like state, becoming SCP-CCCC-1. These individuals display rapid psychological and physiological degradation, culminating in grotesque body modifications and a compulsion to perform elaborate and violent rituals. SCP-CCCC-1 instances seem to possess memories and skills they did not previously have, often reciting ancient texts or carving intricate runes with precision.

Effects on SCP-CCCC-1 Instances
Phase 1 - The Whispering
Description: Within 2-5 minutes of exposure to SCP-CCCC’s vocalization, individuals report hearing whispered phrases in their native language. These whispers convey fragmented warnings, cryptic instructions, or nonsensical poetry, often invoking themes of death, rebirth, and sacrifice.

Physical Manifestations: Subjects begin to experience rapid weight loss and skin discoloration. The skin around their mouths cracks and splits, exposing raw flesh. Their eyes darken, with sclera turning black and irises a pale yellow, resembling SCP-CCCC’s eyes.

Psychological Symptoms: Early symptoms include obsessive muttering, often of fragmented phrases resembling Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven:

“Deep into that darkness peering… nevermore… quoth the Raven…”

Phase 2 - The Flesh Requiem
Description: After 24-48 hours, SCP-CCCC-1 instances begin carving symbols and runes into their own flesh using any available tools, including their fingernails or teeth. These symbols, identified as a mix of Norse bindrunes and necromantic sigils, emit a faint luminescence under ultraviolet light.

Physical Manifestations:

Flesh around the carvings appears to liquefy slightly before hardening into a black, bark-like texture.
Limbs elongate unnaturally, with bones creaking as they stretch beyond their normal proportions. Fingers and toes extend into gnarled talons, sometimes splitting into multiple segments, exposing sinew and bone.
The torso often contorts, with ribs breaking outward, puncturing the skin and forming a grotesque cage structure around the heart.
Psychological Symptoms:

SCP-CCCC-1 instances become hyper-focused on gathering materials for their rituals, often using disturbing means to acquire them. These materials typically include organs, eyes, and blood from unwilling participants.
Phase 3 - The Ritual of Ebony Flesh
Description: SCP-CCCC-1 instances will attempt to enact the “Ritual of Ebony Flesh,” a violent and elaborate ceremony designed to summon an entity referred to as The Silent Maw or The Endless Hunger. Ritual sites are marked by grotesque flesh altars composed of mutilated human remains, carefully arranged in spiraling patterns.

Physical Manifestations:

SCP-CCCC-1 instances reach their final stage of transformation. Their flesh becomes a slick, obsidian-like material. Their faces lose all semblance of humanity, the lower jaw splitting into a grotesque, quad-mandibled maw capable of emitting high-pitched screams that rupture nearby eardrums.
Their internal organs, now exposed, appear to shift and writhe independently. The heart, in particular, emits a faint, rhythmic glow in time with SCP-CCCC’s vocalizations.
The Ritual:

SCP-CCCC-1 instances chant in an unknown language while performing the ritual, each syllable causing nearby organic matter to decompose at an accelerated rate.
Participants in the ritual—willing or otherwise—are flayed alive, their skin used to inscribe massive runes onto the ground.
Incident Logs
Incident Log CCCC-17 - The Mass of Black Feathers
Location: ████████ Church, Northern Norway
Summary: Foundation agents responded to reports of mass disappearances. Upon arrival, the church was found transformed into a ritual site. Human remains were affixed to the walls, arranged in the shape of a raven with wings outstretched. SCP-CCCC perched atop the altar, vocalizing continuously.
Recovered Log: Audio from body cams captured the following exchange:
Agent ███: “Do you hear that? The walls... they’re breathing.”
Agent █████: “What the hell is that whispering?”
(A loud, guttural croak is heard, followed by screaming. Footage cuts out as SCP-CCCC-1 instances descend upon the team.)

Researcher Notes and BLACK RAVEN Connections
Researcher ██████:
“SCP-CCCC isn’t just performing random rituals. Each act of horror, each mutilation, fits into something bigger. The Ritual of Ebony Flesh—if completed—could open a gateway to something beyond our comprehension. SCP-CCCC knows this. It’s a conductor orchestrating a symphony of destruction.”

BLACK RAVEN Memo - [REDACTED]:
"SCP-CCCC’s connection to the broader anomalies is undeniable. The raven’s presence has been noted in █ other SCPs tied to Norse mythos. These rituals… they’re more than just gruesome sacrifices. They’re the prologue to a much larger catastrophe. Maintain extreme caution. The threshold nears."

Closing Observation
"This is no ordinary raven. Its whispers thread the fabric of reality itself, sewing the flesh of our world into something else entirely."

SCP- # # - "Valhalla Rising"
Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP- # # is an auditory cognitohazard requiring immediate suppression upon discovery. All known instances must be neutralized and archived at Site-███ under Level 5 BLACK RAVEN Clearance. Containment protocols require the deployment of Ægir Containment Array and activation of [REDACTED] Protocols.

Individuals affected by SCP- # # , designated SCP- # # -1A and SCP- # # -1B, must be subdued using Project RUNESTONE or the Gjallarhorn Resonator. No direct interaction with SCP- # # -1A instances is permitted without Class-7 Auditory Hazard Gear and active Odin’s Helm devices.

Failure to adhere to containment protocols will result in immediate activation of Directive RAVEN-BLACK.

Description: SCP- # # - “Valhalla Rising”
SCP- # # is a melody of pre-Norse origin, capable of inducing violent, trance-like states in listeners. The song operates in three phases, progressively drawing individuals into its influence. SCP- # # ’s tonal structure appears to interact with human consciousness on a deep, primal level, exploiting a connection to ancient mythological archetypes.

Auditory Properties and Psychological Effects
Phase 1 - "The Call"
Sensory Description: The Call begins as a low, droning hum, layered with faint, melodic chanting. The sound is hauntingly familiar, evoking primal fear and awe. Those exposed describe it as "hearing the bones of the Earth vibrate." Shadows seem deeper, and the air feels heavier, charged with an unnatural stillness.
Audio Note: Spectrographic analysis shows SCP- # # produces infrasonic frequencies capable of inducing paranoia, unease, and hallucinations even in those not directly exposed.
Firsthand Account - Containment Officer █████:
“We didn’t even hear it at first—just felt it. My chest tightened, like something was pressing down on me. Then I saw them—the shadows were moving. I turned off my mic, but the hum was still there. That’s when I realized it wasn’t coming through the speakers. It was in my head.”
Phase 2 - "The Berserker Chant"
Sensory Description: The Berserker Chant is an escalating, rhythmic chant punctuated by guttural roars. The sound seems to come from everywhere and nowhere, warping space around the listener. The temperature in affected areas drops sharply, and observers report a “metallic taste” in the air. Flickering lights and brief auditory distortions, such as distant screams or battle cries, are common.

Psychological Phenomena:

SCP- # # -1A subjects report hearing “ancient voices” compelling them to spread the melody or hunt specific targets.
SCP- # # -1A subjects in this phase have displayed the ability to communicate in Old Norse despite no prior knowledge.
Field Report - Incident # # -19:
"The chanting grew louder, and everything felt... wrong. The walls were shaking, but not like an earthquake. More like they were breathing. ██████ started muttering in some guttural language. His eyes—there was no light left in them. Just emptiness. Then he smiled and whispered, ‘They are coming.’"

Phase 3 - "The Awakening"
Sensory Description: The Awakening phase is a cacophony of dissonant sounds, resembling a battle: clashing metal, distant horns, and roaring chants. Those exposed describe feeling as though they are "standing on a battlefield, surrounded by an unseen army." The melody creates visual distortions—listeners report seeing ghostly figures clad in Viking armor appearing at the edge of their vision, disappearing when approached.

Psychological Impact:

SCP- # # -1A subjects who reach this phase gain abilities tied to mythological figures but at the cost of their sanity and identity.
SCP- # # ’s “possession” effect manifests fully here, with subjects experiencing full sensory immersion into historical battles.
Researcher Note - Dr. ███████:
“Phase 3 isn’t just an auditory phenomenon. It’s as if the song tears open a doorway, and something—someone—is reaching through. I’ve watched subjects change. They don’t just think they’re Vikings; for those few minutes, they are. And what’s worse… they remember.”

Incident Logs and Unexplained Phenomena
Incident # # -13 - Reykjavik [██/██/19██]
Summary: During a Viking reenactment, SCP- # # triggered a mass awakening event. Foundation personnel recovered audio logs from the event, but playback consistently fails at the exact moment Phase 2 begins. Surviving witnesses describe “shadow soldiers” emerging from the crowd and engaging in hand-to-hand combat, though no physical evidence of these entities was found.
Aftermath: ██ civilians died in a frenzy. Local reports claim the event was “haunted by the spirits of old.”
Incident # # -22 - Oslo [██/██/20██]
Summary: During a death metal concert, SCP- # # reached Phase 3, resulting in the awakening of ███ SCP- # # -1A subjects, including ██████ (Codename: “Ragnar”). Subjects exhibited extreme physical enhancements and began chanting in unison, summoning ghostly Norse warriors visible only on infrared equipment.
Black Raven Directive: Incident classified as a RAVEN THRESHOLD EVENT. Eriksson transferred to [REDACTED].
Tools and Equipment Notes
Ægir Containment Array

Purpose: Disrupts SCP- # # ’s resonance within a 500-meter radius.
Field Effect: Emits counter-harmonics. Notably, personnel within the field have reported “hearing whispers” despite no active exposure. [REDACTED - Full analysis pending].
Odin’s Helm

Purpose: Personal auditory protection, designed to neutralize SCP- # # effects for field agents.
Warning: Prolonged use has caused users to report disembodied voices instructing them in Old Norse.
Gjallarhorn Resonator

Purpose: A high-frequency emitter capable of disrupting Phase 3.
Side Effects: Field logs describe “feedback” that briefly manifests as spectral Norse figures around the device.
Recurring BLACK RAVEN Elements
BLACK RAVEN DIRECTIVES suggest SCP- # # may be part of a larger system of mythological anomalies linked to pre-Ragnarok events. Researchers theorize SCP- # # is not merely a song but a signal, summoning forces from beyond human comprehension. Efforts to decode these signals are ongoing under Project BLACK RAVEN.

Closing Note
“SCP- # # isn’t a song. It’s a call. And every time we hear it, something ancient listens.”
