Caffeine is a substance that has been heavily researched for its performance benefits in sports. But like all good things, you can certainly overdo it. So how much is too much and what is the right form for you?
Remember that your total caffeine intake includes all sources of caffeine - coffee, tea, cola, energy drinks, gels, pre workout, etc.
Too much can cause heart palpitations, increased anxiety, increased blood pressure, and GI discomfort.
Everyone is different in how much caffeine they can tolerate, so it is best to trial caffeine use during training before using it in a big event.

6 months out vs 6 months in ✨
This last month has been the hardest for me personally. Returning to work full time, trying to mom full time, breastfeeding, getting up at 440a for “me” time to workout when I can, trying to get back to myself, strengthening my friendships, trying to wife, navigating family dynamics, and trying to work thru the constant swirl of thoughts/worries/concerns/questions that fill my mind day and night that only a mom could understand. It’s not easy, none of it. It wasn’t meant to be, but her smiles and giggles make it worth it. I am v thankful for my network who continue to show up for me and for this beautiful, smart, and curious little soul who makes every day so much brighter 💛

This year flew by, with so many big life events (moves, new condo, new jobs, travel, baby!). Looking forward to many, many more adventure-packed years ahead with this handsome hunk and soon-to-be (amazing) dad
