The sun is setting a bit earlier now, so and I took a drive about 2 miles from our home and up into the mountains to find the darkest spot we could to watch the meteor shower last weekend. Definitely saw quite a few meteors, but honestly it was the blanket of stars that was even more impressive.

The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is a place that, if you shoot 📷 it once, you can bet it’ll look different the next time you’re there. Maybe it’s the way the sun is hitting the canyon, or how the clouds are layered in the background…the view is always alive and changing…

I’m definitely more of a sunset person than a sunrise person, and this sunset was definitely a good one. Got this image just in time before the rain moved in.

Getting those key sunset shots for a new construction real estate listing is both fun and challenging. You need to pick your spot and wait for that perfect moment. It doesn’t hurt to be shooting it with my 5D Mark IV!

Montana is beautiful. Just take a leisurely drive up to mountains and there are compositions for days. As a photographer, you almost have to pull back a bit because otherwise, you’d never get to your actual destination as you would be stopping every two minutes, saying “oh, look at that….now there’s a view! Gotta shoot it!”

Or, just shoot it all because you’re using an 5D Mark IV and you want to see how it will look using this unbelievably awesome piece of gear…
