Melissa Rapp, a Colorado native and mother of two teenagers, is a recently certified Nature-Connected Coach working towards her ICF credential! Like this post to cheer her on.

We got to highlight Melissa in last week’s workshop, because she is a great example of someone who created a plan, followed our business development stages, has been busy networking, is on track to meet her one-year goal, and is working with multiple clients! If you missed the free workshop and want the replay, DM us ‘TRANSITION’

Now back to Melissa: Melissa is dedicated to guiding families through the complexities of mental health challenges, learning differences, LGBTQ+ identity, and disconnection.

Her vision is to help families find calm, build resilience, and strengthen their connections. She deeply believes in the restorative power of the natural world, integrating its wisdom into her coaching process.

Drawing on extensive training in psychology, family systems, and professional coaching, she offers personalized support that helps families navigate challenges, improve communication, and thrive.

Outside of coaching, she enjoys the companionship of her two mini poodles, spends time with her heart horse, and finds joy in watching birds and studying wolves.

Tip 1 for choosing a coaching program: Self-reflect on things like your personal learning style, what you need to learn to best support the people you're called to serve, and how much business support you need. Use this to start compiling a list of what you're looking for in your program.

Tip 2: Get on a call with a team member at the school so you can ask your questions that will help you determine if it's the right fit for you. Also, it's a bit of a vibe check.

Tip 3: Check if they are ICF-accredited, and at what level. We may be biased because we're ICF-accredited, but for good reason. We believe in the professionalism of the industry, and the high integrity and ethics that the ICF holds their coaches to. So if you want to stand out from the crowd of people waking up one day and deciding to call themselves a coach, go with an ICF program.

Stay tuned for a blog post and free resource on the way, if you'd like more tips and support on choosing your coaching school - give us a follow or comment "tips" and we'll make sure to circle back to you!

As we near the end of the year, it is all too common for people to feel pressured to reflect on the past year and generate a whole list of goals for the year to come.

What if, instead, we took a cue from nature: Slow down, rest, and savor the rich nutrients of experiences this past year.

In other words, take time to honor and celebrate all that has been, before focusing on new ways to grow and improve!

We look forward to hearing your celebrations in the comments. Here’s a few of ours:

• Guiding our 35th cohort of Nature-Connected Coaching Candidates

• Hosting rich conversational Community Council Fires

• Students building businesses and bringing their visions to life in their communities

• Founder Michael Jospe speaking to the power of collaborating with nature in coaching on various podcasts and at an Association for Coaching conference

• The first ever cohort of Nature-Connected Integration Coaches presenting their inspiring capstones earning their certificates

• All of our students who achieved their NCC certificates, ACC, and PCC credentials this year

…and the list goes on!

Ultimately, we’re celebrating our growing community of people committed to cultivating a more connected, regenerative world in greater harmony with nature! Here’s to more visions fulfilled in 2026.

Share a celebration (or 5!) in the comments so we can celebrate with you!
