The third one, in particular, is a little tricky. I would definitely make a point to watch the video ahead of time -- not to learn the dance, but just to familiarize yourself with it.

COMING SOON! ADVANCED BEGINNER ISRAELI DANCE SERIES – STARTS SUNDAY, JUNE 1
This summer, Boulder Israeli Dance is excited to offer an Advanced Beginner Israeli dance class series for the first time! Class is drop-in, no registration required. Specifics below…
Classes will expand upon basic steps – like grapevine, Yemenites, turns, and pivots – to help participants get comfortable with a wider range of step patterns and the more elaborated choreographies of today’s Israeli dancing. Teaching will be geared to dancers who are relatively new to Israeli dance, and is guaranteed to help move you up to the next level of this wonderful dance form!
We will start with popular circle dances like Ashrei Ha’ish, Bepundak Beiti, and Belailot Hakayitz; and cool line dances like Jaimale, Numa Numa, and Un Poquito; and from there move on to further fun dances at the advanced beginner to easy intermediate level.

WHAT: Ongoing drop-in Advanced Beginner Israeli dance series. No registration required.
WHEN: Sundays 5:45-6:45 pm, June - August, 2025. First class is Sunday, June 1. Please arrive a little early: Class will start and end on time!
WHERE: North Studio at the Avalon Ballroom
COST: $7/session by cash, check, or Venmo. Includes admission to regular Boulder Israeli dance teaching (intermediate level) which follows Sundays 7-8 pm in Sodal Hall, and Open Dancing 8-10 pm.

BIFD Annual Meeting
The BIFD annual meeting will be held on March 21, 2025. Everyone is invited and the evening will be free; however, only those who were members in 2024 may vote in the elections. It will be a short meeting, with dancing to follow. If you wish to run for a board position please send a short bio to Ilana at [email protected].
