Heads up if you're traveling through Boulder this weekend. Foothills Parkway closure starts tonight.

⚠️TRAVEL ALERT⚠️ | Full southbound closure on CO 157 (Foothills Parkway) between CO 119 and Valmont Road continues this weekend

A detour route will be in effect from Friday night through Monday morning. By implementing full roadway closures over the weekend, the project team can ensure the safety of motorists and crews while keeping weekday commuter disruptions to a minimum.

🚧Traffic impacts for Friday, June 5, 8 p.m. to Monday, June 8, at 7 a.m. include:
🔸Full southbound CO 157 closure between CO 119 (Diagonal Highway) and Valmont Road. Motorists will be rerouted off of southbound CO 157 at the CO 119 (Diagonal Highway) exit, west to 30th Street, south to Valmont Road, and east to re-enter southbound CO 157. See detour map below for additional details.

Motorists traveling in the area should expect up to 15-minute delays. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes over the weekend to avoid congestion. Flaggers and uniformed traffic control officers will be on site to assist with traffic flow. Drivers should slow down, watch for workers and equipment and maintain safe following distances.

📲Visit COTrip.org for real-time lane closure updates and road conditions on this project and others throughout the state.

The Boulder County Commissioners reflect on the deadly antisemitic attack on the Pearl Street Mall in front of the County Courthouse that took place one year ago today, urging Remembrance, Resilience, and Community.

Community members who want to honor the survivors and remember Karen Diamond are invited to attend the Boulder Jewish Festival on Sunday, June 7, for a time of reflection and the unveiling of a stone marker in front of the Boulder County Courthouse.
