On May 4th (four weeks ago from today) we caught up briefly with each other at the Connecticut State Missionary Baptist Convention’s Annual Session. He gave a heartfelt acknowledgment from the podium after I gave the morning lecture. Another moment stands out at the hotel when I saw him going up on the elevator. Maybe that was a sign that God’s servant would soon be going upstairs and not returning. And to find out that the Rev. Antwaun Richardson was called home last night is a painful loss.

On behalf of Lady Logan, myself, Associate Ministers, Deacons, Trustees, Administration, All Disciples of Messiah Baptist Church in Bridgeport, CT we are sorry to hear of the transition of Rev. Antwaun Richardson. Our condolences and prayers are extended to Lady Caura Richardson, their children, family, the disciples of Zion BC in Waterbury, CT, of which he served as their Pastor and the Community during this difficult season.

It is a wake up call to each of us; especially fellow Pastors, clergy and ministry leaders. As the book of James records: life “is even a V***r that appears for a little time and then vanishes away”.

Pastor James B. Logan, D.Min.
