Chicken salad can come in one of two very different ways one where the chicken is the salad and the other is where it is part of a more traditional garden style salad and is merely one of the many possible ingredients like in this recipe. In the other the meat is usually chopped up and mixed with things such as celery, fruit (dried or fresh), nuts, seeds and so on and then the whole thing is mixed with usually some kind of mayonnaise or creamy kind of dressing and then served often as a sandwich filling. In this one on the other hand we serve a garden style salad with a piece of fried chicken breast that has a little bit of heat init to make it more southern style.
