I’ve been sitting here this evening processing how excited I am for this year! After some unexpected off-season engine upgrades we finally got the hot rod ready for the first race at Jackson Motor Speedway. Thanks to everyone that supported them as they give us a place to race since our track is shut down. I’ve been racing for 3 years now and last night was the first time when I put the pedal to the floor my ass checks grabbed ahold of the seat. I’ve never had this kind of reaction out of an engine. Unfortunately since we didn’t get the sponsorship support this year we didn’t completely rebuild the engine and she let us know she needed a few more parts to be 💯. But that’s fine. The initial diagnosis is blown head gasket but she will be headed to the Doctor soon for repair. I can’t thank Jay Lott enough for his support. He didn’t have to help me get faster but he did and I’m grateful. We gonna take a few weeks off. Fix the engine repair the brakes cause they gave me fits all night but I was to out of shape to be pumping that much 😂.
Stay tuned for our next race date. I think we may go and try to start rubbing doors with some unexpected people 😜. Thanks to Mr Heath Williams for the advice and encouraging words. It’s fun racing with people like that.
