Slam Dunk is on Fire With New Movie Trailer

In the anime world, viewers have witnessed alien battles spanning the cosmos, supernatural shenanigans threatening the Earth, and a man transforming into a series of chainsaws. Aside from diving into wild territory for the biggest anime fights, the sports world has also been covered quite thoroughly, as Slam Dunk represents one of the biggest series portraying basketball. After a decades-long hiatus, the series is looking to return to anime via a new film this December in Japan and a new trailer has landed.

Slam Dunk first arrived as a manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1990, with the series receiving over one hundred television episodes thanks to its anime adaptation, along with a handful of feature-length films. With the anime coming to an end in 1996, it has been quite some time since Toei returned to this action-packed world of basketball, and this new movie looks to be making for the lost time thanks to the new animation style being employed.

-Akira Sendo is Ryan's ace and small forward considered one of Kanagawa's best players. Sendou is a good-natured person and usually has a smile on his face, both on and off his court. He can be lazy at times and is known to be late for training sessions and games. However, his tardiness is tolerable due to his skill. His teammates trust him with all their hearts and believe that he can lead Ryonan to victory even when he is inferior. However, in middle school, Eiji Sawakita overtakes him. Sendoh is he one of the most talented players in the series. He's a good shot, a good rebounder, and a strategist as well. He can have flashy attacks, but he's also capable of great defense that stops standout forwards like Rukawa.Despite his size, he's a very fast and flexible player. His teammates truly believe that victory is always an option as long as he's on the pitch, regardless of the opponent or the situation.
