If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times. Most people aren’t getting enough protein.

The two most common things I face when working with a new client is that 1. They aren’t eating enough AND 2. They aren’t eating enough protein.

So we get to work on developing the skills necessary to start upping their protein intake and getting more calories from as many whole food sources as we can!

So today I share my dirty little secret for how I get more protein into my diet on the daily. Be sure to check it out because this has made all the difference for me.

Now it’s your turn. What’s your favorite snack/meal to help you reach your protein goals?? Comment below 👇🏻

I used to look in the mirror and hate everything I saw. I didn’t understand why it was so damn difficult to achieve this “dream body” I always pined for. I would look at other women and see their success and see it as my failure, that I wasn’t good enough.

As women, we are taught over and over again that our worth is tied up in our physical appearance. This message has been pounded into our brains without us even realizing it. My teenage years were spent pouring over the pages of Cosmopolitan hoping that this would be the article that would tell me how to be happy. This magazine was my bible. Now I’m 99% sure the messages in this magazine had detrimental effects on my development and self-worth.

Years of being told that this workout would attract the perfect mate and how to be sexy for your man left me feeling like I wasn’t worthy because I wasn’t able to attract a man and that I couldn’t attract a mate because I didn’t have the perfect body. It was all so twisted. And nowhere did it say you are enough, just because you are you. Here is how to love yourself, for you.

These are my ramblings for today and I hope they make sense. The road I’ve walked to find worth in myself outside of my body and my appearance has been one of the most challenging because it goes against everything I’ve been taught. So I say it’s time to teach a different lesson, preach a different message and remind ourselves that we are so much more than our physical bodies. ❤️
