What is zero-reveal taping? We're on the job in Cornwall, ON with using Pro Clima membranes and tapes to deliver airtight, durable, high-performance construction on this 10-unit Certified Passive House.
Here, Aaron Waldt demonstrates the “Bunny Ears” technique used to air-seal the inside corners of a window or door opening before installation. It creates the slack needed to bridge the gap between the rough opening and the frame, ensuring a continuous air barrier. He's using Pro Clima CONTEGA SOLIDO IQ-D, a double-sided, humidity-dependent tape for interior or exterior airtightness. Watch as he walks through the steps of zero-reveal taping, the simplest and most robust method for air- and waterproofing a window.

The modular approach used on this project for large-scale mass timber is inspiring and we’re happy to see larger-scale adoption. We love to see wood used as the structure and interior finish on multifamily projects, and to keep that structure looking nice it needs protection! This modular project in Big Sky, Montana chose the watertight (at 33 ft water column), v***r-open (at 38perms) SOLITEX MENTO 1000 membrane as the WRB and air barrier to protect the exposed beautiful structure on this mass timber. We’re happy to work with to see the SOLITEX applied in the factory. Congrats to the project team including architect and contractor
