Preparation Steps
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 8-inch (20 cm) round cake pans.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Mix in the mashed bananas and sour cream until smooth and fully combined.
