North Bryan Community Center

Staff and youth from North Bryan Community Center were once again afforded the exceptional opportunity to attend the Brazos Valley African American Museum's annual banquet, courtesy of the generous donation and steadfast support from Cecil R. Webster Sr. and his wife, Marsha Webster. All honorees were truly deserving, particularly Donnie Nelson Jr., director of the Summer Program at North Bryan Community Center. The commitment to providing youth with access to such events underscores the profound importance of community support and aligns with our mission statement, 'Building a better community one child at a time.'

February has been an extraordinary month for the North Bryan Community Center students, filled with enriching experiences that will stay with them forever. As the month comes to a triumphant close, our mission to educate them about our rich history will continue to inspire. The month began on a high note with an Etiquette class at Golden Corral, graciously hosted by the esteemed Bethune Woman’s Club. We proudly closed out the month with a phenomenal Black History Program that left a lasting impact. Special thanks to everyone who supported and contributed to making this February an unforgettable celebration of growth and learning!

We were privileged to have Aggies Delivering Smiles come out and educate the kids about oral hygiene.

Their aim is to improve access to dental care and create a brighter, healthier future for all. We look forward to future visits.

There’s always something to be thankful for. The kids worked on crafts sharing some of the things they’re thankful for after feasting on a delicious Thanksgiving meal! Thankful for the love and support we receive from parents and community. Happy Thanksgiving 🍁

We will be open for enrollment to our after-school program Monday 8/11/25 and Tuesday 8/12/25 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Acceptable forms of payment cash/check/money order.

Some of our staff members and students spent the evening celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Bethune Women’s Club. The BWC governs our community center, and we are so grateful for their many endeavors to continue to serve and support our youth.

We want to say “Thank You” to Lt. Jason James of Bryan Police Department who witnessed our students playing outside with a pretty worn basketball. He saw a need and he met that need by bringing us a brand new basketball!
