You guys........come here and I'll tell you a secret....and a story. It will be a 2 for 1'er 😅
is hosting an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social this Sunday and today I made the cutest (bias but still the cutest) ice cream scoops from salt dough, (complete with vanilla seeds spots and all 🤣) to go into a vintage vignette I am working on with a vintage ice cream scoop and sundae/soda glasses that will be up for purchase in booth PW07! 🥰😍 Come by and see us, have some ice cream and shop the shed!
Now, for the story.
Growing up, my sister and I spent a lot of summers with our grandparents fishing, camping, swimming, etc. My Papa Lonnie would put us in his flat bottom boat with one end of the rope tied to the boat and the other end tied to the dock and let us drift out as far as the rope allowed and we would fish all day long. He would sit out on the hill in an old aluminum fold out chair (if you are over 45, you know the ones) with an old silver Coors light can one one hand, a s***f can in the other and a big ole smile just watching us live our best lives. He never rushed us. About mid day he would pull us in by that old rope and hand us a bowl of vanilla ice cream and give us a nudge and back out to the lake we went. Me and my sister would get out there with our little chubby selves and get to giggling singing "I scream, You scream, We all scream for ice cream!" and about tip ourselves over we were laughing so hard. 🤣🤣😅😅 Those were good times and I sure miss those days.
I would love to help make memories like this for you and your kids/grandkids this summer, so come on out Sunday and grab you a few vintage sundae cups, soda cups, ice cream scoops and whatever else good stuff you can find around "the shed". You never know, you might even find an old aluminum chair! And if you stop by PW07, I hope you think of this story and if you buy the sundae cup, take the ice cream.....in loving memory of a dear Papa who left me with some great memories 🥰😍🥰

Yall! Look at the chunky, scalloped Pflatzgraff saucers I found! Are they not the cutest 😍 They are chunky dunk in all the right places! I also scored these Enoch Wedgewood Staffordshire England saucers last weekend and they have the best crazing! I've added a picture of one with crazing and one without. Which do you prefer? Personally, I love crazing! To me its the equivalent of an authentically chippy perfection 😍🥰
