as i write this i am coming off of a week of what felt like frustration. challenges surfaced i did not anticipate. ones i was forced to work through in community…not alone.

to a woman who has spent years working to prove to herself that she can provide for herself, alone is safest. relying on no one is predictable. controlled.

i have lived in the shoes of a masculine energy within myself for so long that force and independence was all i knew. responsible, always. and in the moments i batted it away i carried the guilt deeply.

this week taught me i hold my responsibilities first and won’t let myself down…so it’s not part of my path to continue to hold them with such ferocity. it’s time to trust myself and simply move forward in ease. to embrace the feminine within.

it also showed me there are simply some things beyond my scope of knowledge. do i know how to change a battery and alternator in my car? no. do i have a friend who did it in less than two hours simply because he cares about my wellbeing? yes. and he knows, without question, i would do the same.

we are all comprised of both masculine and feminine energy. like a river we are both the water and the banks. at times we move in softness like water. at times we are the banks for another to crash against when in need. both hold value.

receiving and accepting love holds as much value as giving it. if you cannot receive you will have nothing to give. let my lessons be your reminder…sometimes you are the water. sometimes you are the bank. learn to be both with grace.
