One of the biggest mistakes we make as caregivers?

Ignoring our own warning signs until our body forces them to stop.

Tension.
Fatigue.
Shallow breathing.
Brain fog.
Snapping at people you love.
Feeling emotionally numb.

The ability to notice what’s happening in our body is actually an important mental health skill.

Because when we can recognize stress earlier, we have a better chance of responding before we hit complete overwhelm.

This 3-step process is simple but powerful:

1️⃣ Notice
2️⃣ Name
3️⃣ Respond

Which step is hardest for you?

I’m really grateful to share that I’ve completed a certificate in Mental Health & Aging through the Center for Mental Health & Aging.💚💜

This work matters deeply to me. Aging, caregiving, and mental health are intertwined — and so often families are navigating all three at once, quietly and without much support.

This training adds another layer of understanding to the work I do with caregivers, families, and organizations, and I’m thankful for the thoughtful guidance from and the community.

Always learning. Always deepening the work.
