Mental-Health Resolutions for 2024, According to Therapists
Whether you feel reborn—or even just a little bit reset—at the start of a new year, consider making your mental health a priority in 2024.
Why? “Because that’s the gateway to everything else,” says Guy Winch, a clinical psychologist, author of Emotional First Aid, and co-host of the Dear Therapists podcast. “It’s the linchpin that allows you to succeed or to fail.”
1. Rethink your social-media use.
Spend some time reflecting on whether you’d like to continue with the same online habits in 2024. Or if you'd like to lessen your screen time to help manage your mental mindset and give you more time to do more productive things.
2. Reconnect with a long lost friend.
That old adage—”Make new friends, but keep the old”—is one to live by, especially considering that loneliness affects physical and mental health, while strong social bonds are a salve. Reach out to a long lost friend and reconnect. You will find it could be good for the soul.

"Declutter December"...✨✨✨
Decluttering is just editing your home. And often decluttering can be a never-ending task.
However, there are many rewards to decluttering and once unnecessary stuff is deleted, only the best is left. Keep what you need and what makes you happy, and get rid of what doesn't.
Don't treat your home like a storage unit. Keeping something because you might need it someday is not often a good decision. Things can accumulate and build up to "clutter".
Ask yourself if it's something you actually need, or if it's just taking up space in your home.
Keep a box in your closet so that every time you put on a piece of clothing and don't feel good in it, toss it in the box to be able to pass along to someone else who may be in need.
Decluttering can be a great way to quiet your mind, feel more organized and feel happier in your personal space.
December is a perfect time to declutter, as you get ready to start a New Year!
