I will temporarily re-OPEN for pre-placed orders of "Pumpkin Pie" (vanilla) Cookies and Maple Cinnamon Cupcakes for Thanksgiving week :)
A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required on all orders as my usual policy.
(Specified order plus deposit must be received by 9PM next Friday, November 17th, at the latest.)
Pumpkin Pie Cookies and Maple Cinnamon Cupcakes will be ready for pre-scheduled/deposit-paid pickups (only) on:
Tuesday Nov. 21st and Wednesday Nov. 22nd.

Closed October 12th - November 13th

Cakes by Kelly is a most wonderful part-time endeavor for me that I am so thankful for.

As some of you know, I am also very grateful to work another part-time job for a research company that has steadfastly employed me for over 20 years. For the next few weeks, I have made an increased-hours commitment to that job for a specific project.

This happens on occasion, and I usually work around it.

However, this time I decided for the sake of sleep and sanity :) that it is best that I temporarily hang up the apron during that timeframe. I will not be taking Cakes by Kelly orders for the dates October 12th through November 13th.

I may need to extend this timeframe. If so, I will provide an update.

Peanut Notice
If you happen to follow my page closely you will know that in the past I have not done any products with peanuts or peanut butter or perhaps you are someone who has contacted me in the past regarding a peanut-related order and I have turned down the request (that has happened many times).
This is due to a peanut allergy here in my household. In the past month, I have done a couple of orders that included peanut. One was cupcakes with Spanish peanuts on top. And the most recent was a cake with Reese cups.
I gave the OK to these two instances since I had time in my schedule to allow for some segregation in my kitchen and it didn't require the use of utensils. And most of all because I've dealt well with my child's allergy for 8 years and I know the level of carefulness that is required. A huge dash of OCD doesn't hurt either :)
Please know though that I may not always be able to fulfill a request for items that contain peanut products on top. I still will not be able to make a peanut butter buttercream or cake or anything that requires contact with the mixer.
Likewise, even orders that just require some "sprinkling" on top (like the ones described above) will be considered on a case by case basis as I've done this month and are not a given.
It depends on what else I have going on in the kitchen that week.
