Try inshore sharks on a fly rod Guide Dillon Blythe of Charleston figures that conditions aren’t always ideal to target redfish on fly-fishing tackle, so he’s found a toothy alternative: inshore sharks.

Late Fall/ Early Winter Report
November has been nothing short of it’s usual reputation for being one of the best months to fish around Charleston. Specks, reds, and sheepshead inshore have all been very cooperative. Nearshore the bull reds and false albacore have made a great showing. Sight fishing on the flats has really begun to heat up. Clear water schools of reds will be our focus throughout the winter. These redfish are perfect targets for the light tackle or fly fishing enthusiast. I look forward to the New Year and wish everyone a Happy Holidays.

Summer is coming to an end..... bring on the Fall!
The second part of summer has produced some great fishing in Charleston. Redfish and Sharks have given anglers lots of excitement on lures, flies, and bait. Focus on targeting sharks on fly has been a riot. We have landed some 100+ # Blacktip sharks on Fly along with many smaller 20-40 # sharks. Redfish continue to feed on the flats even in this hot humid weather. The cool fronts to come will start our annual mullet run and clear our waters creating a sight fishing paradise. The speckled trout fishing will really heat up with cooler waters as well.
20+ on light tackle
Personal best Redfish 14 #’s!

May Fishing Fishing in the Charleston Harbor has been on fire. Spanish mackerel, bluefish, trout, and reds have been taking advantage of the abundant glass minnows and menhaden flooding into our waters. Fishing will only continue to get better into the early summer.
