Locklear's Pressure Washing

Very cool to clean some race cars for the big show .

1. Pre-check
• Look for mold, algae, spider webs, oxidation, or rust stains.
• Note shaded areas — they’ll be the dirtiest.

2. Protect surroundings
• Thoroughly wet all plants and grass.
• Vinyl is forgiving, but SH isn’t.

3. Pre-rinse
• Low pressure rinse to remove loose dirt.
• Helps prevent streaking.

4. Mix your soft wash solution

Recommended mix for vinyl:
• 1.5%–2% sodium hypochlorite (SH)
• Add surfactant like soap so it clings

This strength is strong enough for green algae and black mold without harming vinyl.

5. Apply the solution
• Use a soft wash system, pump sprayer, or downstream injector.
• Apply bottom to top to prevent streaks.
• Fully coat panels, posts, and rails.

6. Dwell time
• Let it sit 5–8 minutes.
• Don’t let it dry.
• You’ll see algae melt off.

7. Rinse
• Rinse top to bottom using low pressure.
• Stand back 2–3 feet.
• No need to scrub unless there’s oxidation or rust stains.

8. Spot treatment (if needed)
• Rust stains → use a dedicated rust remover (no SH).
• Heavy oxidation → light brush with vinyl-safe cleaner.

9. Final rinse
• Rinse fence and re-wet plants.
• Walk the line and touch up missed spots.
