Simplified Financial Coaching
Providing a road map to get you from where you are today to where you want to be financially.
Just saying…
This time 15 years ago, things were good. Had a job making the most money I had every made, kids were well and doing good in school and the wife had the job she would go back to today if they offered it to her.
2008 looked promising.
In May of that year…
My job was elimated, starting 18 months of un/under employment.
My youngest started on a ride she is still on, having type 1 diabetes.
Things got really crazy and tight for a long time.
And we survived…
With a lot of help, understanding and support. We are all still here and doing better than we were nearly 15 years ago.
Can I help? My wife tells me the answer is always no unless you ask. Call and leave a message, I hate spam as much as everyone else so I may not pick up the first time.
Are you there yet?
Have you reached the point where you know there is a better way to handle your money, you just wished you knew what it was? I was taught in school (pre-1980) how to balance a check book but then went prodigal son on most of the lessons I saw and should have learned from my parents.
I had most of what you would expect; a mortgage, the HELOC (another name for 2nd mortgage), car loan, credit card with balances, a wife and two daughters and was living paycheck to paycheck. Then father-in-law had some health issues and rather than have my hard working wife run between two houses after working all day, we decided to sell our house of over 22 years and moved in with them. That forced us to get rid of both mortgages and left us with extra money for the first time in a looong time. Around this time, I started paying more attention and relearned some basic money handling rules. It still took time and work but the car loan and credit card balances are no longer in the picture.
Where are we now? Debt free except for the townhouse we bought nearly two years ago with a 20% CASH down payment on a 15-year loan. Every week, money goes into both our retirement and regular savings accounts. IF my wife and I BOTH lost our jobs tomorrow, there is enough money in savings to cover our living expenses for over three months. Am I bragging…no, just making a statement of facts.
Can you say the same?
Would you like to be able too?
With some time, work, willingness to make some hard decisions while following the game plan…you can. I can help with that but you have to invite me in. Call Jeff at 704-654-6620, let’s talk it over and see what it will take to get you there. It costs nothing to talk and with where you may be today, can you afford not to call?

Q: Qualification
What are my qualifications to help you with your finances? I would tell you about the Dave Ramsey Financial Coach Master Training program I completed and how I have successfully put some of that training to work in my own life. The part on student loans I haven't use since the only student loan I ever had was back in the 1980's.
Just as important as the training are my life experiences. I have purchased (with my wife) 3 house with loans, insurance to cover both houses and cars, invested in retirement accounts and decided how much to spent on furniture, vacations and a thousand other items. I will also admit to mistakes, like when I went to buy flowers one year for Valentine's day. No cash, debt card declined and I pulled out a nearly maxed out credit card, afraid it too would be declined. Not a comfortable feeling!
Let's talk and see what we can get done. Message me today!
