Congratulations! You now have a beautiful baby, and now it's time to focus on your postpartum recovery and taking care of your little one.
Here are a few tips to help you along the way:
1. Feed on demand: Your baby's hunger cues may not always fit into a strict feeding schedule, so it's important to feed on demand. This means offering your baby the breast or bottle whenever they show signs of hunger, such as rooting, smacking their lips, or sucking on their hands. Trust your instincts and your baby's cues to establish a feeding routine that works for both of you.
2. Lots of skin-to-skin contact: Holding your baby skin-to-skin can help regulate their body temperature, promote bonding, and even boost breastfeeding success. Try to spend as much time as possible snuggling with your little one, and don't be afraid to go topless if you're comfortable doing so.
3. Breast massage: Engorgement, plugged ducts, and other breastfeeding issues can be painful and frustrating. Gentle breast massage can help relieve discomfort and improve milk flow. Use your hands or a warm compress to massage your breasts in a circular motion, starting from the outer edges and working your way towards the ni**le.
Remember, taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of your baby. Don't hesitate to reach out for help if you need it, and take things one day at a time. You've got this!

A postpartum doula does not replace your partner; they are there to support you and your partner!
Supporting a new parent can be a taxing job for just one person. While it is possible for your partner to support you in many of the ways a postpartum doula can, your partner will also be in need of support! As new parents, you are going through new experiences together. Your partner may also be sleep deprived, nervous and have questions. In hiring a postpartum doula, you can ensure that the entire family is supported on this journey!

You deserve to have every member of your care team give you the support and attention you need!
To optimize the health of women and infants, postpartum care should be an ongoing process, rather than a single encounter, with services and support tailored to each woman’s individual needs.
