Red, white, and woof! ❤️🤍💙🐾
Wishing you and your pups a safe and happy Fourth of July! Whether your plans include backyard BBQs, fireworks from afar, or relaxing at home, we hope your day is filled with good food, great company, and plenty of tail wags.
Just remember, while we may love the fireworks, most dogs would happily vote to replace them with extra treats instead. 🇺🇸🐶
Have a fun and safe Independence Day from all of us at Project 2 Heal!

Somebunny has a new home! 🐰💗
Bunny has officially joined the Miltz Family as the newest member of our Chaperone Program! While she's busy being spoiled, learning the ropes, and growing up, we're hopeful that one day she'll become one of the incredible mama dogs helping raise the next generation of future service dogs.
For now, her biggest job is being an adorable puppy, and we'd say she's already excelling. Congratulations to Bunny and the Miltz Family. We can't wait to watch this journey unfold!
Interested in playing a vital role in our mission? Our Chaperone Program gives families the opportunity to raise one of our future breeding dogs in a loving home while helping make more service dogs possible. Today marks the final day of our Paws for a Child 2026 Campaign for Chadlyn.
When asked what it would mean to her to know her service dog is on the way and what independence would mean to her, Chadlyn simply said:
“Victory. It’ll feel like victory.”
After weeks of sharing her story, her journey, and the reality of living with epilepsy, that one word says so much.
Victory is safety.
Victory is independence.
Victory is comfort in the moments that feel uncertain.
Victory is knowing she won’t have to face it alone.
We are so close to making this a reality for her.
So far, we’ve raised $28,061 out of our $30,000 goal 💙
Help us raise the remaining amount needed to reach the finish line by 11:59 PM on June 30th.
If you’ve been thinking about giving, sharing, or supporting her story, this is your moment to be part of her victory.

Everyone has a “why.” For Samantha Pressley, hers started with Moonpie. 💙🐾🕊️
Three years ago, we said goodbye to a true hero.
Moonpie wasn’t just a service dog. She was Samantha’s guardian, best friend, and constant companion. As a diabetic alert dog, Moonpie helped Samantha navigate the challenges of living with diabetes and gave her family something every parent hopes for: peace of mind.
Samantha received Moonpie as a child through Project 2 Heal, and the bond they shared changed the direction of her life forever. Through Moonpie, Samantha discovered a passion for training dogs and creating the same life-changing partnerships that had impacted her so deeply.
Today, that passion continues.
Samantha is now helping write the next chapter of this story by training Chance, Joy’s future service dog, under the guidance of our Director of Training, Rebecca Golian. Chance is continuing his journey toward becoming the trusted partner Joy deserves.
Moonpie’s legacy is a reminder that service dogs don’t just perform tasks. They provide confidence. They create independence. They become family.
Her impact lives on in every puppy raised, every handler supported, and every life changed through the gift of a service dog.
As we continue our Paws for a Child 2026 campaign for Chadlyn, we’re reminded of the incredible ripple effect one partnership can create.
Help us continue Moonpie’s legacy and create the next life-changing partnership.
Your support helps bring a seizure response service dog one step closer to Chadlyn.
