First SUPER (10k) in the books for me…and crushed his first EVER 👏🔥 Loved being with him this time and encouraging each other through the struggle, he’s a great mud mate!

And of course grateful for my team for introducing me to obstacle course racing and helping us train for this race!! 💚🖤

Still failed a few obstacles but I was thrilled to complete the monkey bars this go round 🙊 and get further along on the multi-rig! Gotta keep practicing for the twister (I was sooo close), olympus, ape hanger, and that dang spear throw.

Oh and special shout out to my goggles 🥽 that came in handy for the dunk wall 😂 Sadly I didn’t get any pics with them on but I was so glad to have no issues with my contact lenses this race, so that’s my tip to anyone who has struggled to see through mud or lost a contact in the dunking process! 🫣😉

Still debating on whether or not I take on a beast (21k) this year to complete a trifecta…time will tell! I will definitely be back for more races at some point, you can count on that! 💪🏻

Hit the books 📚

Yep, this is where I am right now. It’s been just over 6 weeks since I cut my finger and fainted and only a week since I’ve felt okay enough to start working out again. **See recent Instagram posts if you are curious about the injury and

My collarbone has been the biggest issue and at this point I’m pretty certain that I fractured it to some degree (there was swelling & a bump on it for weeks and now there’s a little indent there). The pain in my shoulder, back, and chest is slowly dissipating. My pinky still can’t bend at the top knuckle, which is crazy 👀

And it was the first Thanksgiving day in probably 15+ years that I didn’t work out. I had to confront a lot of fears around my weight and food...it really opened my eyes to how much work I STILL need to put in with disordered eating and obsessive exercising, even 5 years after being “recovered.”

I’m grateful for this experience though, for the perspective it brought me here at the end of this wild year. For the rest it forced upon me. That I can still move my body at all! 🙏

What’s a “bad” thing that happened to you this year that you’re actually really grateful for? (Surely we all have at least one!)
