This deck is 20+ years old and the existing decking was in bad shape. The joints were gapped and rotted, some of the boards had broken and it was in need of repair. The joists were in good shape and after multiple measurements I discovered we could have all full length boards with no seams if we ran a picture frame trim along the house.
