The top 10 dog breeds are popular for a reason, and typically don’t shift too much. This year, the top five did see a shift: the Dachshund moved up in popularity from No. 6 to No. 5, pushing the Poodle out of the top five most popular dog breeds.

What a great weekend! AKC CH Promontory Ember, "Emmie" won WB both Saturday and Sunday to finish her championship (pending AKC approval). Emmie finishes with 3 majors, a BOB, and a Group 1 placement!! She is my third champion by Evesham Butter Pecan (thank you Lezli Powers) who is heart clear at almost 7! A huge shout-out to Benjie Marcus for handling her and loving her. Many thanks to two wonderful judges who recognized her, Patti Widick Neale and Gary Andersen.
