What a great day it was this past Saturday at Squirrel Park in Mathews. They had an annual Earth Day event with many great vendors.
It was neat to see the CWA (Charlotte Woodworkers Assoc) building bird houses with kids. This was wood donated by Carolina Urban Lumber, who only upcycles local waste trees for its products. Now not only the wood gets second life, a bird gets house, a child gets and experience and a community gets created.
This was a great sight to see for us!!
