ADOPT SHEMAR!!

Shemar’s a 9yo 5.5lb Yorkie. He’s ok with dogs, cats and kids that give him space and respect his boundaries so older kids if any visit his Adult only home. He’s house and p*e pad trained. He’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for short harness leashed walks. Once he settles into his new environment, he like to spend time with his adult people to cuddle. He is independent, will let you know when he wants his space, but will also let you know when he wants attention and cuddles.

Shemar’s foster requires an adult only home with either no other dog or a calm, small dog that will respect his space, gives him space and time to get to know people and his new environment, let him come to them at his own pace, be allowed on the furniture to be with people to cuddle when he is wants to along with leadership, consistency and structure. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Shemar as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.
