Parade Lap

The 1998 Porsche Double 50 celebration at Watkins Glen was the more casual predecessor to the now elaborately produced Rennsport Reunion.

The event was organized by Brian Redman and served as a forum to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the American road racing renaissance at Watkins Glen in 1948, and the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 356. An impressive collection of Porsche race cars and drivers like Vic Elford and Hurley Haywood were present. Notable absences included Derek Bell and Jacky Ickx to which Redman joked “not in the budget!”

These photos by Stephen Oosterling and Dom Milano are truly remarkable because they show a huge range of Porsche racing models on track at the same time. Even for exhibition purposes, it must have been wild to see a 917/K or 962 hunting you down in the rear view mirror!

Recent coaster design work for

Our team loves a design challenge, especially on products that have a historically short lifecycle. These coasters were developed to be conversation pieces for use in the coffee lounge and meeting rooms at Shore Car Club. Each design was hand drawn, vectorized, and printed on heavyweight pulp board.
