This handsome boy has been waiting **75+ days** for his forever home, and because of that, **his adoption fee has been WAIVED!**

Gene is a graduate of the P.A.C.K. Program, where he's learned commands like *sit, wave,* and *shake*. But the biggest thing he's learned is that people can be kind.

Gene came from a hoarding situation where he had very little human interaction. Thanks to the patience of his trainers and foster family, he's blossoming into a sweet, gentle dog who is beginning to seek out affection and trust people. His journey has been incredible to watch.

Gene's perfect home will be a calm, patient one with another confident dog to help him continue building his confidence. He's house trained, kennel trained, and is ready to spend the rest of his life with a family who will love him for exactly who he is.

Sometimes the dogs who wait the longest make the most loyal companions! ❤️
