What a wonderful month of May at First Presbyterian Church!
May was filled with celebrations, service, fellowship, and countless blessings as we gathered together as a church family.
We began the month with our Day of Giving, delivering the generous donations collected by our congregation to support those in need throughout our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible ministry of compassion and generosity.
As we prepared for Vacation Bible School, we also hosted a VBS Workday where volunteers gathered to create creatures of the rainforest, vines, monkeys, decorations, and so much more. We had a wonderful turnout, and we are incredibly grateful for the many talented volunteers who shared their creativity and gifts to help transform our church for this exciting ministry.
We celebrated and honored the incredible mothers in our congregation, recognizing the love, faith, and guidance they share each day. We also took time to thank our dedicated Sunday School teachers for their faithful service and commitment to nurturing the faith of all ages.
Our hearts were filled with joy as the childrenβs choirs, Joyful Ringers and Joyful Voices, presented their final performances of the program year. What a blessing it is to see our young people sharing their gifts in worship!
We celebrated three wonderful baptisms, welcoming new members into Godβs family, and we recognized our two high school seniors, Konrad Prescott and Brennan Lamm, as they prepare to begin exciting new chapters in college. We wish them Godβs richest blessings in all that lies ahead.
Pentecost Sunday reminded us of the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, and we were blessed to welcome a guest preacher who helped us learn more about the ministry of Living Water International. We concluded the month with a fabulous ice cream social and wonderful fellowship together.
One of the greatest blessings of all has been watching our children laugh, play, and enjoy time together outside after worship. There is something special about hearing giggles on the playground as families linger and enjoy fellowship on Sunday mornings.
Now weβre ready to swing into June as we transform our church into a rainforest in preparation for Vacation Bible School! Stay tuned to see all the exciting things happening as we prepare for an amazing week of faith, fun, and adventure.
Thank you, Lord, for a wonderful May and for the many blessings shared within our church family. We canβt wait to see what God has in store for June! β€οΈπΏπ

π Join Us for Worship This Morning! π
We are excited to welcome our guest preacher, Rev. Andy Hein, to First Presbyterian Church this morning!
Rev. Hein is passionate about equipping leaders, mobilizing the Church, and building partnerships that transform lives and communities. With more than 30 years of ministry experience serving as a pastor, nonprofit leader, consultant, and global advocate, Andy has dedicated his life to helping others discover their God-given purpose and live on mission.
Currently serving as Senior Director of U.S. Church Engagement with Living Water International, Rev. Hein works alongside churches to bring clean water and the hope of the Gospel to underserved communities around the world. His leadership journey has also included roles with Samaritanβs Purse, International Justice Mission, and Saddleback Church.
Andyβs heart is reflected in one of his favorite verses:
"Wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest." β John 4:35
Come be inspired and challenged as we gather for worship, grow in faith, and hear how God is calling us to make a difference both across the globe and right here in our own community.
