From a 2016 journal❤️. Writing prayers has always helped me with grounding, centering and transforming. Connecting with myself by my altar, in the here and now, connecting with Divine Love and writing my prayers anew always helps me shift to a more heart centered and spiritual place. 🙏🏼

What is your practice?

After every mountain crest,
the descent follows.

The return to our common life
holds both comforts and
familiar sorrows and worries.

Expansion must be balanced by retraction.
The ying balances the yang.

Simultaneously,
resurfacing follows every submersion,
just as resurrection is destined to follow
the gravest of losses.

There is an inner harmonizing:
a soulful, energetic conversation
constantly ongoing.

The Light and the dark,
the elation and the depression,
the joy and the tears,
the flow of love and the gripping of frustration.

May I surrender and release,
and be a conduit
of shifting grace.

May I be gentle with myself
so that this harmonizing
may complete its purpose,
and deliver its gifts.
