It is the last day of Mental Health Awareness Month and it’s time for our last letter to ourselves!
Last but not least is letter writer Sarah!
Dear Younger Sarah,
You are sweet, compassionate, creative, and have a laugh that lights up each room. Even though you are sometimes made to feel like your sensitivity is a weaknes, it is a beautiful gift. You care deeply about others and carry more empathy than most. Your talent with words will allow you to create beautiful songs and poetry and connect to your intuition. I know you can get overwhelmed and anxious because your emotions are so strong, but there is nothing wrong with who you are. Learning to manage these symptoms is still a work in progress, but you have come so far and have accomplished so much. I am so proud of you.
Love,
Older Sarah

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month our team is sharing letters written to ourselves!
Up next is letter writer Rebekah!
Dear Rebekah,
I know how hard things can get sometimes but remember how far you’ve come. It was not that long ago (6 years now) that you were hospitalized for your mental health and you saw no way out. Now you are a nurse helping other people in the same position as you. Remember that it is possible to get better, and that it is possible to continue to get better. Remember this even when things get hard. Hang in there. I am proud of you.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month we will be sharing letters to ourselves written by each member of our team!
Next is one of our letter writers, Madelyn!
Dear Younger Me,
Sweet girl, you have no idea what’s in store for you! I know how scared you are right now but I promise you it will get better and you will overcome more than you ever thought you could. Your life is SO worth it! You are SO loved by your family, friends, and believe it or not, yourself! There will always be good in the world, it’s ok to focus on that. Don’t be afraid to slow down and appreciate the little things like going to Anna’s, hugs from Mom, playing with the pets, watching Kate grow up, connecting with your relatives, and so much more! Let yourself learn and grow. You’re doing just fine and you’re going to be more than ok, I promise!!
