“Sherlock Holmes: The Coronet Conspiracy” is the first in a new series by James Heatherly and published by MX Publishing. I was given a copy of the book to review by MX Publishing.

The book opens at the scene of the murder of Annie Chapman in Whitechapel in 1888. This is not, however, another Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper scenario. I can’t say much, because I don’t want to give the plot away. Suffice to say corpses, conspiracy, and chaos abound.

The breadth of the plot is enormous. I was worried that it might be an unwieldy read, but I need not have worried. The book flows smoothly and evenly.
Heatherly has skillfully woven canon characters in with original characters and historical figures to create a rambunctious romp of a book which I thoroughly enjoyed from page 1.
