I always like to say that, “Even with all the tech that exists in the world today — to Be Human is to be witnessed, held and listened to….”

There is a reason why Hi**er and the N***s looted and stole art work:

1) For its value — it was used as a form of alternative to money.

2) It conferred cultural legitimacy - so anything considered “modern” was a threat.

Art and provenance allow us to connect to stories of resilience - to the conditions of oppression when voices are expressed — to cultural differences — to a time in history long gone but not forgotten. It is through these stories that we realize we all desire for similar things no matter the backdrop.

And, while A.I. can converge worlds of imagination lost is the essence — the provenance — the miles of brush strokes infused by an artist’s vision to birth a one-of-a kind piece into the world. This is why it is my belief that art is having a renaissance period.
