My heart is so full. Even though I couldn’t be there in person, my daughter Aniya represented Great Minds Escape at the TechRise South Chicago Pitch Competition — and she did it with grace, confidence, and pure brilliance.We didn’t walk away with the win, but let me tell you… I have never been more proud. Watching her step into my place and deliver our story so powerfully reminded me that this business is bigger than me — it’s a family legacy in motion.

This entire journey with the Intelligence Lab and P33 has been transformational. They pushed us, challenged us, and helped us uncover our true value proposition. That clarity alone was a win. The experience was unforgettable, and I’m grateful for every moment of growth.

Yes, it stung not to win — we’re human. But I also know this: our time is coming. Great Minds Escape is just getting started, and this was one more step toward the impact we’re destined to make in South Chicago and beyond.
