The Myoko Festival of Apatani people start with hunting of Bidii Siibi (A varities of Monkey), the hunt for Siibi starts on and after the completion of the harvesting in the month of october. Siiki (wild Animal) whom Apatani believe as brother and one of the best friend of Tani.

In those days, competition was there amongst (Tani), and others to grab ( Pest tree) . They used to climb up the tree where Siiki, outwitted by Tani and let him fall to Biidang (gorge) and Siiki remain there and was unwiling to return up , Tani thought that it will not be possible to celebrate the Myoko festival without the participation of Siiki. So Tani decided to offer Siiki with Mithun, to which Siiki accepted but considering the enormous lost of Mithun in every Myoko, Again Tani Compel Siiki to accept the Bidii Siibi (Monkey) , Alyi (Pig) and Paro (Fowl ) for participation in Myoko. So, the hunting of Bidii Siibi has been going since time immemorial (As told by Ate Taming )
