Guys- I’m so sorry if your review of our book The Business of Woo was taken down over the weekend and you’re unable to repost it. Unfortunately, Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing costumer support did not help me understand why this is happening or how to fix it, even though you were all verified purchases— and even shared photos! And I’m unable to escalate it or do anything else on my end as the author.
I know you spent your hard earned money on my book and took precious time out of your day to share a thoughtful review, and for that I am very grateful. Nothing can take that away from us!
What’s more: Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing is, apparently, famous for doing this to other indie authors, and doesn’t offer much in the way of issue resolution or troubleshooting. So please don’t stress about it! I’m focused on moving forward, and am HOPING that Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing will take a look and do the right thing here, especially because they make money off of every one of my book sales.

Last year, a bomb went off in my life. And, while I’m still dealing with it— and paying for it!— I’m finally able to lock back in and get stuff done…and I don’t think I would be “here” without the help of all of the generous, thoughtful folks that supported me when I needed it the most.
While a book may seem like a very singular, individual effort, the bottom line is that I would have never gotten this particular time done without the village of folks listed in the acknowledgments section.
I look forward to the day when I can be generous with all of you in kind, but in the interim: at least your name will literally live in the pages of my first book!

Vulture visit right outside my front door this evening!
Vultures are totems associated with the sun and the fire element, eating up and transmuting death and decay to make our world habitable and safe from plague.
The Lakota Sioux say that they lost their head feathers pushing the sun away from earth, ultimately sacrificing vanity to save humanity.
They’ve been on our house, porch and in our yard all afternoon an evening, meaning this isn’t a subtle visit. Something about “the old world dying and the new world waiting to be born”, for sure.
So much change lately. So much hard, arduous work. But, soon, rebirth- and a new sun on the horizon.
