DEADLY LITTLE VILLAGE SHOOTING LEAVES MAN DEAD, 3 WOMEN WOUNDED NEAR 26TH STREET

Chicago police say a 46-year-old man was shot and killed and three women were injured in a shooting Wednesday afternoon near 26th Street and St. Louis Avenue in Little Village. The shooting happened around 4:34 p.m. as the victims stood near a sidewalk. The man was shot multiple times and later died at the hospital. A 25-year-old woman, a 47-year-old woman, and a third woman of unknown age were also struck, with at least one reported in critical condition. No one is in custody as the investigation remains ongoing.

La policía de Chicago informó que un hombre de 46 años murió y tres mujeres resultaron heridas en un tiroteo el miércoles por la tarde cerca de la calle 26 y St. Louis en Little Village. El incidente ocurrió alrededor de las 4:34 p.m. mientras las víctimas estaban cerca de la banqueta. El hombre recibió múltiples disparos y murió en el hospital. 🇵🇸 A SECTION OF HARLEM AVENUE IN BRIDGEVIEW WAS OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED AS “LITTLE PALESTINE” WITH A SIGN UNVEILING TUESDAY.

A stretch of Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview was formally recognized as “Little Palestine” during a sign unveiling Tuesday near 83rd Street. The area has long been known for its large Palestinian-American community and businesses. Village officials and community members attended the ceremony.

TEEN SHOT & KILLED BY INTENDED VICTIM AFTER A ROBBERY ATTEMPT IN WEST PULLMAN

Chicago police say a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed after allegedly attempting a robbery Wednesday afternoon in the West Pullman neighborhood. The incident happened around 3:15 p.m. in the 11700 block of South Normal Avenue. Police said the teen approached a male victim and attempted to rob him before the victim produced a firearm and shot him. The teen was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The victim was not injured. Area Two detectives are investigating.
