Where has remembering changed your decisions?
My FB memories prompted me to remember… and how remembering can be confirmation.
See, thirteen years ago, I visualized something. 👁️
I spoke it.
I shared it publicly.

Then in 2022, it manifested fully—a return to my childhood neighborhood to give back and build something rooted in the place my Great-Grandfather first migrated his family in the 1920s.
That vision is the Ladies Lair today. 🤏🏾
It serves as our operations space.
And it’s also a sanctuary.💟
A place for Black women and girls to dream, rest, support, exchange, and belong. 💭 🫱🏿‍🫲🏾 📸 ✍🏾 🫂

A living library of Black girlhood and womanhood.
A space shaped by memory.
When I sit there, I remember my aunt’s beauty salon— 💇🏽‍♀️ 
the energy, the sisterhood, the lessons passed quietly and boldly at the same time.

I remember learning woman ways.
Entrepreneurship. 💴 
Survival. ❤️
Girl Talk 🫶🏾
Escape Plans.
Mutual Aid.
Always belonging.
I remember getting lost in books.📚 
Finding myself in stories that reflected me back to myself.🪞
Remembering shaped what I built.
And who I built it for.
Now, the Ladies Lair is opening its doors for rental—
inviting more memory, more dreaming, more creation.
Memory in motion is powerful.
