Tania was a member of TJLP for years, and we are devastated to hear that she was taken by ICE, while trying to live and thrive, doing what she has done for so many years - supporting her community as an advocate, being a cherished friend, family member, and spiritual leader. Want to get your name and/or gender marker changed?! Live in Cook County? We will be on May 13, 2026 from 1pm-4pm and on May 27, 2026 from 1pm-4pm. Arrive by 4pm to receive assistance.

Please bring a photo ID and birth certificate if you have access to them. If you do not, we can assist you with getting them.

If you are seeking a name change and have any criminal convictions, please bring any information you may have about your case(s) with you. We will need to know information about your conviction(s) to be able to assist you with your name change.
