A recent mudroom project completed. Paint color is Ben Moore Caldwell Green using Renner woodcoatings. Wood bench/transitions are White oak finished with General Finishes High performance Enduro in Satin. Did wire mesh grates for the drawers to add airflow for shoes, etc. this was Phase one for client; Phase 2 in progress

Fabricated and installed these fireplace builtins. Truly custom with integrated vents routed into the face frame and went with a smaller base on face frame bc i had to account for gas turn on valve for fireplace (cut out a hole inside the cabinet, so still able to set the mood 😉 or stay warm) Inset doors for the win and red oak counter and shelves stained in ebony to contrast the Alabaster painted cabinets and hutches. All soft close Blum hinges. Made a new mantle that is also Red oak stained in Minwax’s ebony. This was Phase one of two, as I am currently wrapping up the cust’s mudroom. Keep a lookout for that and some other fun projects

Finished the main phase for this Library/bookshelf builtin for a client today!! Inset doors, adjustable shelves and some fluted trim pieces make this a nice statement piece for the home. There will be a ladder installed in future for those hard to reach areas up high. Ive always wanted to do a library for myself but happy I could make someone’s dream a reality. Definitely plenty of space for books now!!! Lets see how fast they fill it up!! Paint Color is De Nimes (a Farrow and Ball color).

Recently finished a job at ‘s new location in Mount Prospect, IL. It’s a Kitchen and Cafe, with food, coffee, smoothie and even some adult options. They also have a retail section that has alot of gift ideas. They commissioned me to do the custom White oak cabinets, wall caps and bar (more pics coming this week) Everything is finished in Rubio Smoke stain . All doors are inset and push to open!! This pic features three units in their retail portion of the business. The large partition unit provides a nice aesthetic to the space while providing display, separation and storage options. The Hutch and Shelving units provide alot of display options. Also included some install pics. If youre in Mount Prospect, support a local small business!!

got me this sweet handmade leather apron from He must of noticed my clothes with dried up glue and paint 😂 Cant wait to break it in and it couldnt have been better timing with this cabinet job Ive been working on. Feeling very Grateful for this 🙏🏻 for those that remember the Patman days, its very fitting also 🤦🏻‍♂️

Traveled to Union Pier, MI to help a client out with this modern privacy fence. There was an older Lattice style structure before (see pic 4 and 5 (taking it down)) and it was overgrown with vines and rotted out in many places. Thanks to for working on this one with me. We battled some rain delays but got it done in the allotted time we had (2 days). We also built some straight forward fire wood sheds that will have a metallic roof added to them later (pic 3). Overall happy and good practice for a future privacy fence I may have to do.

The infamous Corner Crap cabinet as my client called it!! Custom cabinet finished in Hale Navy using Gemini’s Evo 20 sheen. The top is Solid Ash, stained to match a color combo I used on a previous job, and cleared with Old Masters Armor, Satin sheen. Love how it all came together from the Hale Navy, to the soft brown/grayish stain. The profile with those handles works great also. Routed a “vent” for the HVAC they had in place and was told they “actually feel heat coming through” 🤦🏻‍♂️ haha

Measuring in at 45” wide and 108 1/2” long and 1.5” thick, this recently completed Kitchen Island countertop for Hawthorne Group contractor, was delivered last week, amongst the mudroom project (see previous post) Used Alder and stained in Wood Harbor Brown Sugar. Clear coat is Old Masters Armor Satin, sprayed on. Profile is a Roman Ogee. Thanks for the help on this one

Wrapped up this beautiful mudroom today!! I did the bench, cabinetry and install with the help of . This was my biggest cabinet job yet (or it sure felt like it). Used a new profile on the drawer and door faces, and it may be my new go to. Painted in SW Gossamer Veil and applied with sprayer. Bench top is Birch Butcher Block painted in Tricorn Black. Drawers are dovetailed (Pic 5), and as always, everything is soft close using Blum hardware.

Phase 2 for were these floating stations for the Stylists to do their magic!! Check out pic 3 to see what they upgraded from. It was a Fun, challenging project and grateful for the ladies of Pure Salon for having me do their projects. Finished this entryway Bench/Locker combination to help client with a storage solution. Plenty of space now for jackets, shoes, gloves, you name it!! Lots of adjustable shelves to adapt to changing needs. Thanks to for collaborating on this one; Def needed it to build the upper locker portion as one piece. Always nice to have a someone to bounce ideas off of. Finished with Basic white in new Sherwin Williams Gallery series. And bench is stained in Sherwins BAC wiping stain in Dark oak, and Old Masters Armor clear coat.
