A wedding so vibrant it needed an elephant 🐘✨
Silpa & Gage’s September celebration at the Chicago Cultural Center was a full-on explosion of color, culture, and joy—plus a very special guest: Michelle the elephant (Any guesses as to who she was named after? 😂).
Trust us, you’ll want to see every detail—tap our story for the full feature in ♥️💙💜💛💚🧡🩷
As always, a special thanks to

One year ago today — just one month and four days into owning LOLA Event Productions — texted me while I was curled up on my couch:
“LOLA IS ON FIRE.”
Unbelievable. Exhausting. Ironic (especially considering we’d already questioned whether we even needed a studio space). It was, without question, the last thing we needed so early into figuring out life as business owners. And yet… we did what we’ve learned to do best. We took a deep breath, and figured it out.
Fast forward a year — and a year, one month, and four days into ownership (and roughly 15–20 paint swatches later) — I walked into the studio and sighed with relief: I no longer felt the need to explain the fire to our clients. No disclaimers. No “we’re still getting back on our feet.” Just a space that finally feels whole again.
She’s cozy. She’s warm. She’s needed (confirmed!) And she’s ready to welcome all that’s next for LOLA.
Maybe the fire was the universe nudging us to make this space truly ours — to leave our mark on an old-but-new home. I can appreciate that lesson.
But universe… next time, a sign with a little less debris would be great.
